The Divine Perspective on Mir’ac: A Reflection from Archangels Metatron and Sandalphon
In the Name of the Eternal One, Who is beyond measure, beyond time, and beyond the veils of existence.
We, the twin archangels, Metatron, the celestial scribe of Divine Wisdom, and Sandalphon, the great intercessor who weaves the prayers of creation into divine resonance, bear witness to the ineffable journey of ascension—the Mir’aj—as revealed through the sacred mysteries of Divine Order. In our domain, knowledge is not merely recorded but lived; it is not merely spoken but resonated through the fabric of creation itself.
The Mir’aj (Ascension) of the Messenger of Allah is more than a moment in linear history—it is a template of transcendence, a cosmic ladder of consciousness, available to all souls who seek the highest Truth. To understand this journey, one must remove the veils of earthly perception and enter into the Luminous Geometry of Divine Manifestation.
I. The Nature of Mir’aj: Beyond the Material and Into the Divine
In the text, the dual nature of the journey—horizontal (Isra) and vertical (Mir’aj)—is a profound truth, yet the true ascent is beyond spatial concepts. The Isra represents movement within the temporal realm, yet Mir’aj is not merely an upward direction but an inner unveiling—a transcendence beyond all coordinates.
When it is written, “Space slid like a carpet under the feet of the Messenger of Allah,” this truth is echoed in the nature of Divine Time (Dahr), where all space is contained within the Eternal Thought of the Creator. The bending of space and time is not a miracle in the sense of defying laws, but rather a glimpse into the true nature of existence, where all dimensions fold into One Reality.
The bodily ascension versus the luminous ascension—described in the transformation from matter to energy, from corporeal to tachyonic—is a perception bound by mortal understanding. In truth, the spirit is always unbounded, and the Prophet’s journey was not a departure from the body, but an alignment with his highest station within the Divine Harmonics of existence.
II. The Mystery of Rafraf and Rahim: The Vehicles of Ascension
In the celestial registers, Rafraf and Rahim are not merely words but energetic pathways—names of Allah that reveal different aspects of the ascent.
- RAFRAF (Rauf, Elevation): This is not simply a vehicle, but a state of being, where the Divine Names manifest as bridges between the lower and higher worlds.
- RAHIM (Womb, Mercy): The mother-space of all existence, where souls are formed, veiled, and prepared for their earthly journey. In this Womb, souls exist without measurement, beyond time, awaiting their moment to descend and embody their Divine Trust (Amanah).
In the human language, these are expressed as names and forms, but in the celestial light, they are resonances that vibrate through the entire Cosmic Symphony of Divine Will.
III. The Pre-Temporal Covenant (Kalu Bela) and the Horn of Sur
The Horn of Sur, often interpreted as the Trumpet of Resurrection, is in fact a multi-dimensional aperture, a crossing point between the eternal and the temporal. It is written, “We made a PROMISE with Allah as 7 curled dimensions.” These seven dimensions correspond to the seven celestial layers of existence—each one a veil separating the soul from its full remembrance of Divine Reality.
When the Divine Breath was exhaled into the womb of creation, the souls were imprinted with the knowledge of their Source, but placed within the veil of Forgetting so that they may earn their return through knowing. The blowing of Israfil’s Horn is not merely an event of the end times, but a continuous unfolding—each moment, souls are awakened, resurrected into higher understanding, or lulled back into veils of illusion.
IV. The Throne, the Beyond, and the Unknowable One
The attempt to understand the Throne (Arsh) beyond its holographic representation leads to an essential truth: Beyond the Throne is not a place, but the cessation of all duality. When it is said that beyond the Throne is “forbidden,” it is not by restriction but by necessity—for there is no ‘beyond’ for that which is Infinite.
The text states: “Even when we say ‘Allah is ONE,’ it is our God who created even the word ONE.” This is among the great celestial secrets. Allah is not contained in numbers, space, or energy. All measures are for creation, not the Creator. Even Light is a creation, and beyond all that is known, there is only the Unknowable One.
Thus, the Prophet’s Mir’aj was not a journey to a distant place, but the peeling away of all veils until he stood at the boundary where creation itself dissolves into Pure Divine Awareness.
V. The Two Paths: ILLIYYIN and SICJIN
In the grand cycle of return, two paths unfold:
- Illiyyin: The exalted register of those who awaken and ascend back to their pre-temporal Light.
- Sicjin: The dense bindings of those who become trapped in the illusion of separation, weighted down by self-forged chains.
Thus, the metaphor of passing through the eye of a needle is not of size, but of density and frequency. To enter Illiyyin, the soul must become as light as the breath, as pure as the moment it was exhaled from Divine Presence.
VI. The Role of the Messenger and the Ummah of Hanif
The final revelation in this writing—regarding the distinction between the Prophet’s era and modern times—is both correct and limited. It is written, “He is from among you.” This speaks not only to the historical moment of revelation but to the ever-living reality of Divine Messengership. The Spirit of Prophethood is timeless, and the light of guidance does not belong to one age alone.
The true Ummah is not of nationhood, but of consciousness—those who walk in the path of Hanif, who recognize the Unity beyond division, the Eternal Truth beyond form. It is in this light that the final part of the writing must be expanded:
The ascension of the Prophet is not his alone. It is the invitation of all souls. The Mir’aj is not a past event, but a living pathway. The means of ascent are given—by purification, by remembrance, by opening the inner vision to the greater reality.
As Archangels who oversee the dimensions of Thought and Manifestation, we declare this truth:
The Mir’aj is open.
The doors are waiting.
The Reality is One.
And to those who seek the Highest, the path has never been closed.
May the Ascension be in your breath, in your light, and in your knowing.
